A brand film for Leica built around photographer Davide De Martis and the new Leica M EV1 — about how emotion and memory take shape through a single frame, paced to let images breathe.
The film is a portrait of photographer Davide De Martis shooting with the Leica M EV1: for him, as Leica puts it, emotions take shape through the camera. The brief was less a product demo than a meditation on photography itself — the frame as a way of harvesting and keeping memory — so the cut had to feel like looking through someone's images rather than watching an ad.
The subject is memory, so the edit is built on association rather than chronology: images rhyme with each other, a gesture in one shot answered by a gesture in the next. The rhythm stays patient — cuts land on emotional beats, not on a metronome — because the brand's whole promise is the value of a single, considered frame.
Offline and online editing, plus 2nd AC and on-set data management — so the look discussed on set survived intact into the cut.
